1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using The Cooking Collab in any way, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. You agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Your parent or legal guardian is responsible for your use of the Platform.

Your continued use of the Platform after any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time with notice posted on the Platform.

Platform Purpose and Scope of Responsibility.

The Cooking Collab is a recipe management and organizational tool that enables users to save, store, and manage recipes within their personal account. The Platform does not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the origin, accuracy, legality, or safety of any recipe content saved by a user, regardless of how such content was entered, imported, or otherwise added to the Platform. The Cooking Collab is not responsible or liable for any use — including preparation, consumption, or distribution — of any recipe saved or managed through the Platform. Users assume full responsibility for the recipes they save and all actions taken in connection with those recipes.

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you.

3. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you create and post on the Platform. By submitting content, you grant The Cooking Collab a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Platform.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all necessary rights to content you submit; (b) your content does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights; (c) your content does not violate any law; (d) you have the legal right to grant us the license above.

4. Recipe Import Feature — User Responsibility

You acknowledge that: (a) The Cooking Collab does not verify copyright status of imported content; (b) importing does not transfer ownership; (c) you will not use imports to republish others' content without authorization; (d) you will comply with third-party terms of service.

Any claims from your use of imported content are your sole responsibility. You agree to indemnify The Cooking Collab from any resulting claims.

5. Copyright and DMCA Safe Harbor

The Cooking Collab complies with the DMCA and operates as a passive hosting platform. We are not liable for copyright infringement by users. Submit DMCA takedown notices to [email protected].

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not: post infringing content; harass others; spam; attempt unauthorized access; scrape the Platform; use the Platform unlawfully; create multiple accounts to circumvent bans; or interfere with Platform operations.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by California law. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in San Diego County, California courts. Claims must be brought within one (1) year or are permanently barred.

12. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement: These Terms, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines are the complete agreement between you and The Cooking Collab. Severability: Unenforceable provisions do not affect remaining terms. No waiver: Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign freely.
